New Initiatives Director for the Community Voice Mail National Office. Community Voice Mail (CVM) provides free voice mail and information services to over 40,000 low-income, homeless and otherwise "phoneless" people in 45 U.S. cities. CVM numbers are provided to clients through a network of 2,000 social service agencies. Our clients use their CVM numbers to secure jobs and housing, and to stay in touch with case workers, family members and friends. Local program managers send broadcast voice messages (one message to all clients) about local resources and events in their area.
