I am a mental health advocate with a passion for helping consumers one-on-one. I was once homeless and know the struggles faced by the homeless. In my last position I worked with Homeless Prevention, Rapid Rehousing for the Salvation Army. I was excited to be a part of this effort especially during a time when funding for homeless services were being cut!
I hope to work in the area of policy reform in the future. I believe true change involves developing political will. We must continue to fight the stigma of poverty, homelessness, and mental illness.
