I am a Viet Nam era veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. Although I joined the Navy to see the world and absolutely loved being on the water, I was sent to Puerto Rico, where I served my entire tour. While it was not what i would have picked, I wouldn't trade the experience.I had the opportunity to drive YFU's and Torpedo Retrievers all over the Caribbean. I am now an operations manager for a non-profit assisting veterans, mostly homeless to start the trek back into society. I think we have the largest concentration of homeless vets in the US, and it gets almost overwhelming at times. Definitely not a 9 to 5 job.
