Description: This State Coordinator’s Handbook for Supporting Local Homeless Education Liaisons is intended to be a companion document for the Local Homeless Education Liaison Toolkit. The Toolkit provides local education agencies (LEAs) and their designated liaisons with background information and sample resources to ensure homeless students have access to and success within local school districts. The State Coordinator’s Handbook contains state-level suggestions for identifying, training, and communicating with local school-district liaisons and includes suggestions for modifying the LEA Toolkit to meet the specific needs of individual states.
