The Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant program (Title V of the Social Security Act) provides leadership to both the public and private sector to build the infrastructure for health care strategies addressing the needs of all mothers and children in the Nation, particularly low-income and other vulnerable isolated populations with limited access to health care.
