This report provides information and statistics on the numbers of people who were homeless at the time of substance abuse treatment admission. It also provides information on characteristics of this population including veteran status, age, race, and type of substance used. The report states that homeless admissions were more likely than not-homeless admissions to refer themselves for treatment.
