First, I comment briefly on the increase in those living without homes both in the United States and internationally. Second, I examine how the prevalent ways of thinking have led to confusing effects with causes, and suggest other ways to think about the problem of homelessness. Third, I introduce a theoretical argument that attempts to integrate this apparent diversity of causes. (Authors)
