This chapter discusses the importance of collaboration and ways in which States, tribes and communities, consumers/recovering persons, family members, providers, advocates, researchers, and Federal partners can work together to promote accountability, develop system capacity, and ensure effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of co-occurring disorders.
