The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) offers online continuing education for substance abuse treatment professionals through the Knowledge Application Program. The Web-based system allows the user to complete courses at any time, and continuing education units are available.

The first offering on the site is “Acamprosate: A New Medication for Alcohol Use Disorders,” with additional courses under development on an ongoing basis by JBS International, Inc., a continuing education provider approved by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
