The President and Congress charged the Council via the HEARTH Act to develop and submit the Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness to Congress by May 20. The Plan will serve as a roadmap for joint action by Council agencies to guide the development of programs and budget proposals towards a set of measurable targets. The Plan will reflect interagency agreement on a set of priorities and strategies the agencies will pursue over a five year period. (Authors)

It simply amazed me a lot! It brought my hair to raise knowing that there are still government programs like this which are intentionally founded for the welfare of our less fortunate brothers and sisters. I'm so proud of it. Keep it up.

So here it comes, all the money that is really going to get people into houses and off the streets once and for all. We all know that the funds earmarked to help the homeless will not make it to where it really needs to be and someone down the line will find a good place for the funds, and then someone somewhere will be a little richer, and the homeless man or woman goes without food and shelter for another day.
I have been homeless for almost a year now, and my problem continues to get worse. Without funds, I cannot do anything. I walk around with a suit case every day, because if I leave it anywhere it will be taken. I go to the library and search
for jobs every day. I have been taking classes at work to the future, and trying to keep up with all the new job techniques, but believe me, it ain't easy. Maybe I will be lucky tonight and they will draw my card out of the bucket, but odds are getting slimmer every day. The lottery is down to 20 or less.
