What Can Participants Expect?
To develop an understanding of a person-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed model of care

To learn practical skills in the following areas:

    * Health information for non-medical providers
    * Creating trauma-informed care for families and individuals who are homeless
    * Ensuring consumer voice in the design and delivery of homeless services

To explore strategies of self-care and to experience a sense of renewal and rejuvenation.

Who Should Come?
This training is applicable to anyone providing homeless services including direct service providers, consumers, administrators and policy makers. We particularly invite participation from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) and Services in Supportive Housing (SSH) grantees.

Who Are the Trainers?
Trainers will include national experts from the Homelessness Resource Center and its partners:
~Center for Social Innovation (formerly Institute on Homlessness and Trauma)
~Boston Health Care for the Homeless
~National Center on Family Homelessness
~National Health Care for the Homeless Council

Continuing Education Units
The Homelessness Resource Center is pleased to offer 11 hours of CEUs with the following Approved Education Provider programs: NAADAC, NBCC, NASW and CRCC.
