This tool kit provides an introduction to evidence-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs. It will help state mental health planning and advisory council members and others assess the community-based programs and services offered in their state plans for people with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Produced with funding from the Center for Mental Health Services, this booklet is a primer and study guide on ACT. It also includes a bibliography and where to go for more information about ACT.
