The federal United States Interagency Council on Homelessness develops and implements comprehensive and innovative national strategies in state and local partnership to end chronic homelessness through interagency, intergovernmental, and intercommunity collaborations. USICH functions include coordinating federal departments, identifying needed resources, and fostering the creation of State Interagency Councils. (Authors)
