Alcohol Use and Delinquent Behaviors among Youths: The NSDUH Report, April 1, 2005

National Survey on Drug Use and Health data for 2003 reveal that more than 34 percent of youth ages 12 to 17 had used alcohol in the past year, with more than 36 percent reporting delinquent behaviors. Those who reported heavy alcohol use were most likely to engage in other forms of delinquent behavior such as fighting.
