Description:
This moving video profiles the staff and residents of a respite program for homeless and elderly patients who have been released from the hospital, but are not yet able to manage their own care on the street or in their homes. At this unique shelter, they can rest and recuperate, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. This program documents a humane and effective solution to a problem that is growing daily as the economic constraints of the American healthcare system push hospitals to discharge patients "quicker and sicker."
