Yes, the resource that you have provided that is really an eye opener for everyone. I think we should give adequate attention to those underprivileged people who are in utter distress. Yes, of course, this is a burning problem not only in the US but also in the other countries. However, we should not dilute the problems of homeless people at any cost.

What is the percentage of homeless people vis-a-vis population that we are looking at here.

Of course this percentage may not give the correct picture as countries with higher population numbers will have lower percentages of homeless people and countries with lower population will have higher percentage as long as it is not a developed country.

Shelter is one of the basic requirements of life, so that needs to be the second priority after food.
