Claire is a Health Communication Specialist working on product development and research across a range of projects at the Center for Social Innovation, including the Homeless and Housing Resource Network and a National Institute on Aging project responding to the risk of homelessness among elders. She brings expertise in health communication and health literacy and is particularly interested in mental health, cross-cultural communication, and LGBT youth. She has worked with vulnerable youth in a variety of other settings, including a drop-in health clinic for LGBT youth experiencing homelessness in St. Louis. She is also a certified HIV/AIDS instructor. Claire deeply values the role that personal narrative can play in recovery and outreach and produces stories of creative engagement and healing as a freelance writer.
